Client
Florida Department of Transportation, District 6
CTS provided project management, engineering, and post design services to prepare widening, restriping, and repurposing of the outside through lanes to create 4’ bike lanes within the project limits.

This project proposed $1.4 Million dollars in Complete Streets improvements to NW 19th Street in Broward County. During the NW 19th Street project, we also coordinated with BCT to relocate a bus stop shelter, providing new boarding and alighting areas and a new shelter pad design as part of the project. Initial tasks required close coordination with the Broward MPO, FDOT, County, and City staff to finalize the project scope. During our coordination with the local agencies and public outreach, we determined that the initial intent of the project would not satisfy all parties, then developed 3 alternatives to discuss with all stakeholders. Since we started the scoping alternatives upfront, we were able to agree upon the third alternative and deliver the modified scope and project on time and within budget.
