Traffic Engineering & Safety
CTS has a proven track record of successfully completing traffic engineering studies, performing data collection, and assisting with implementation of the recommended improvements from these studies. Furthermore, we have assisted FDOT with review of several traffic studies, PD&E studies and planning studies, permit reviews, and access management studies from a traffic engineering and traffic safety standpoint.

CTS’s experience further extends over implementing innovative improvements, such as the dynamic curve warning signs, internally illuminated raised reflective pavement markers (IIRPMs), safety edge, road weather information systems (RWIS), leading pedestrian intervals (LPIs), and pedestrian associated blank out signs at signalized intersections, and much more.

CTS can evaluate the preliminary traffic impact planned developments will cause on the existing roadway network and provide potential mitigation strategies. Evaluations can include traffic data collection, trip generation, traffic forecasts/projections, and traffic operational analysis for existing and future conditions.
