CTS was the lead for all aspects of the project intended to enhance the safety of the interstate corridor. Several scope elements were finalized during the design phase, including the length of exit lane extensions.

This I-95 project included various safety improvements along I-95 from Indiantown Road to Bridge Road, which is just over 10 miles in length. The improvements included a continuous mainline and interchange lighting, extension of the exit lane ramps, extension of the mainline merge lane, new overhead signage, and enhanced signage and pavement markings.

The project was intended to enhance safety based on the 2016 FDOT Traffic Operations Safety Study. To implement the intended improvements, several other key challenges were addressed, including coordination with FPL for service points, avoidance and reconciliation with the ongoing interchange landscaping project, coordination with Florida Turnpike, coordination with permitting agencies for bridge and under canal conduits, and lighting requirements within the Jonathan Dickinson State Park vicinity.
